Say hello to Joshua, our Technical Assistant! In this team spotlight, we talk to Joshua all about his role and he shares his advice for anyone thinking of starting a similar career in transport.
What is your role and what does a typical day look like for you?
The main element of my role is to support the planners with daily tasks, such as answering phones to drivers and customers, booking in and taking jobs, communicating with drivers about their next day jobs, monitoring BRC and depending on office rotation, planning traffic.
When did you join the Dennis Distribution team?
I’ve been at Dennis Distribution for almost three years in August. I’m happy to be at a company where there is always a chance to progress through my job role and keep learning new skills and building my way up.
What is your favourite thing about your role?
Like many of the team have said, everyday really is different, no two days are ever the same!
What is your favourite thing about working at Dennis Distribution?
The people, you can always have a good laugh with everyone, and everyone helps each other out.
Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests?
My hobbies and interests include working on my cars, going to music gigs, airsoft, and spending time with friends.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career similar to yours?
Never be afraid to ask questions as stupid as they may seem.
