The Challenge
The prestigious and delicious Annabel’s Deliciously British Strawberries are grown and produced on the family farm in West Yorkshire. The strawberries are renowned by restaurants and hotels globally, and even by the Royal Family here in the UK.
In previous seasons, the company had used multiple providers for different routes across the country, making it difficult for their team to keep track of deliveries. As the business grew ahead of the busy 2024 Summer season, they were keen to explore how they could consolidate their transport loads to reduce their stress and simplify their delivery process.
Our Approach
We were delighted to be given the challenge to consolidate the business’s transport and we quickly set about creating a comprehensive logistics package to ensure that we could quickly react to seasonal volumes that changed on a daily basis.
As their strawberries are a high quality and specialist product, we provided solutions to ensure that they were under temperature-controlled conditions. We also worked flexibly to handle mixed size orders from a single pallet to full loads.
Our deliveries covered all of the UK including night-time deliveries to New Covent Garden Market and Heathrow Airport, ensuring that the strawberries arrived in a fresh and fantastic condition.
The Results
We are proud to have delivered a 100% successful service for the full season which ran from May to the end of September.
By responding quickly to the changing seasonal volumes, we were able to successfully manage the business demands and support them in delivering a fantastic service to their customers across the UK.
