Welcome to the first Dennis Distribution newsletter!Mon 12th June, 2017
We hope you enjoy the news and updates from DD here at our offices in Malton, we are just awaiting delivery of our first double deck fridge trailer so its exciting times waiting to see it on the road. We are proud to have a busy fleet delivering for clients throughout the UK, up and down the motorways of the UK and on a light hearted note we are delighted to be sponsoring National Hunt Jockey Henry Brooke.
We would like to use our first newsletter to tell you the story of how Henry and DD first became acquainted.
Katie, one of our partners, first met Henry as he was recuperating at the Injured Jockey rehabilitation centre, Jack Berry House in Malton after he was seriously injured following a fall at Hexham racecourse. As we got to know him we were keen to help him get back in the saddle and agreed to sponsor him.
Henry is now fully fit and has had a good start to the new National Hunt season, we are pleased to sponsor him and enjoy following his fortunes as well as supporting the Injured Jockey Fund. Pictured below is Henry crossing the line at Hexham recently riding the winner and sporting the Dennis colours, our only disappointment that we didn’t make a bet!
Henry called in to the office recently to see our fleet of vehicles and to convey to the team how much he appreciates the support that DD has offered him. We will keep you informed of Henrys progress throughout the rest of the season!
In future newsletters, we will be supplying news about our drivers and fleet. The latest of which, 3 drivers recently returned from the Peterborough truck show where they achieved success with a high commended award for their vehicles. We are really very proud of them, as all the vehicles were out working until the day before the show and the drivers had to put a huge amount of effort in to get the trucks show ready. The judges seemed to appreciate it, as we are very much a working fleet and the drivers did this because they wanted to. It’s a great advertisement for our company to have vehicles looking so good and we are grateful so many of our staff care.
