Summer Updates from Dennis DistributionThu 27th July, 2017
We have finally taken delivery of our double deck fridge trailer from Gray and Adams and it is turning heads already. The Dovecote Park livery looks very sleek and with a slight twist on the usual white fridge trailers, the black certainly is striking. AST Signs have done an excellent job. We are pleased to have been mentioned in several articles recently, most of which concentrate on cutting the carbon footprint with the double deck trailer being able to do the work of 2 single deck trailers. Our customer is thrilled with the acquisition and already looking for more!
We are normally recognised for our blue and white vehicles, but at the request of Dovecote, we have changed the livery on one of our vehicles to black to match the Dovecote logo, constantly adapting to our customer's needs! Due to this we have decided to look at our logo and have asked design company The Fuse in Harrogate to help us come up with something a little more modern, so watch this space.
Everyone in the company has been working hard as we have had a welcome busy period, plus several of the drivers have been keeping up to date with their CPC qualifications. I was pleased to tweet a completely empty yard recently, it's a good feeling to know that they are all out on the road. Credit to all our drivers who pound the motorways daily to hit on time deliveries for our customers. Plus I know the guys in the office have aged a few years in a matter of days trying to organise it all.
It is Truck Show season and 3 of our drivers had a fun weekend in Thirsk recently. Andrew and I enjoyed going to visit them and hear of all the party shenanigans at the Dennis Fire Engine bar, there are even pictures of disco lights at night on the trucks, so now we know what they get up to after dark! They are preparing for the last show of the season in Newark as we speak and I look forward to reporting next time.
Finally it is not high season for National Hunt racing, but our sponsored jockey National Hunt Jockey Henry Brooke has still managed to notch up a few winners at Cartmel Racecourse and Perth Racecourse, we're looking forward to the season getting into full swing to watch the Dennis colours sported over the fences.
