Autumn Updates from Dennis DistributionThu 19th October, 2017
The summer is over and we were lucky to be kept busy this year on a variety of projects. Although we only run the one tipper vehicle, Ernest Cooper have made sure he is out every day and our driver Andy Keeps the smart white tipper and unit looking good.
We have vast experience in the meat sector and recently undertook a challenging week of halal deliveries, something very new to us and we would like to thank our driver for ensuring everything was delivered to requirement.
We are working on our website with Vital and The Fuse and hope to be up and running with a new dynamic version soon, entering the digital age at last, actively marketing the business through the site. This week sees our sixth load head into Europe and we are very excited to be making use of our newly acquired European licence. Karl took our first load into Italy recently and returned with a delicious cargo of ice cream. Dave sets off for the same delivery point in Italy today and we are looking forward to tracking him on Seven Telematics and hope he can find a cheaper pizza than Karl did, who was horrified at paying £30 for a child size portion!
We have chosen our new logo design and it certainly is a big change, we have decided to rebrand the vehicles in a completely new colour. Hopefully by the time the next newsletter is out we should have some pictures of what we are going to look like.
Andy in the office is currently undertaking his CPC qualification and we wish him luck in his exam this week. We are very pleased to have achieved our BRC licence at the first attempt. Lots of work went into the project by the Admin Team and we are very grateful to them as we have been working towards this accreditation for some time.
The National Hunt Season is hotting up and Henry our sponsored jockey has had further wins, particularly at Cartmel Racecourse where he had a great summer season. He has had several winners for Martin Todhunter and we hope that he has a successful 2017/18 season.
